The Los Angeles Police Department verified in a statement that comedian Chris Rock refused to file a police case against actor Will Smith for slapping him on national television during the Oscars 2022 live show.

The comedian previously stated that he was excited to see her in a sequel to G.I. Jane. Jada, who has alopecia, an autoimmune illness that causes hair loss by attacking hair follicles, was noticeably angered by the joke.
